Tom Pooks a initié le concept Family Piknik en 2011.
DJ-producteur reconnu depuis une dizaine d'années, il a voulu revenir aux sources en organisant un festival convivial et atypique en France.
Originaire de Montpellier, Tom Pooks a rapidement réussi à s'exporter grâce à ses productions deep-tech-house entêtantes, au groove sensuel.
Pensionnaire de nombreux labels, dont certains aussi prestigieux que Cocoon, Intec, Kompakt, Terminal M et Ovum, il a aussi vite démontré un style bien à lui derrière les platines.
Très proche de certains poids lourds de la scène techno, dont Carl Cox et Josh Wink, Tom Pooks s'est vite imposé comme un nom influent au sein de la scène techno française.
Il s'est ainsi produit à l'Olympia aux côtés de Carl Cox, qui l'a aussi plusieurs fois invité au Space Ibiza sur sa soirée Carl Cox & Friends, mais aussi à Global Gathering en Angleterre.
Le Français a aussi été l'un des premiers à fouler le sol de la République de Kazantip, où il se rend chaque année afin de retrouver son ami Mike Spirit, résident star du festival ukrainien.
Entrepreneur dans l'âme, Tom Pooks a lancé son propre label Moovment et produit beaucoup de soirées en France.
Activiste certifié, il fait partie de ceux qui font vivre la scène techno en France. Family Piknik en est l'exemple le plus récent en date !
Tom Pooks initiated the Family Piknik concept in 2011.

Originally from Montpellier, Tom Pooks quickly managed to export its products through deep- tech-house catchy, groovy sensual.
Boarding many labels, some as prestigious as Cocoon, Intec, Kompakt, Terminal M and Ovum, he also quickly demonstrated a style of his own behind the turntables.
Very close to some heavyweights of the techno scene, including Carl Cox and Josh Wink, Tom Pooks has quickly emerged as an influential name in the French techno scene.
He spined at the Olympia alongside Carl Cox, who also repeatedly invited to Space Ibiza on the evening Carl Cox & Friends, but also Global Gathering England.
The French was also one of the first to set foot in the Republic of Kazantip, where he goes every year to find his friend Mike Spirit , resident star of the Ukrainian festival.
Tom Pooks launched his own label Moovment and product many evenings in France .
